MoA – Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania
The ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry) is an institution of the executive power of the Republic of Luthuania.
The ministry of Agriculture carries out the state governance functions in relation to the land, food, fisheries and rural development established in laws and other legal acts and implements the state policy in these areas.

NLS – National Land Service under the MoA of Lithuania
In 1919, after the reestablishment of the independence in Lithuania, the Land Reform Commission, which should be considered a predicessor of the present National Land Service, was established. A publication “Land Management in Lithuania” was prepared by the National Land Service with the purpose to make an overview of the development of the land management organisation and land management activities in the last 85 years.
